Poetry, Prose, & Peonies

Hey there!

My name is Gabby Alysia and I’m a University of Toronto alumna. I studied Professional Writing and Communications, English, and Creative Writing before moving to London, England.

Poetry, Prose, and Peonies was inspired by the collection of work I completed during my undergrad but has grown vastly over the last few years. What started as short stories and poems has evolved to include writing tips and narrative reviews.

Much of my creative work revolves around intersectionality, equity, women’s rights, diaspora, horror, the supernatural, magic, and nature. I draw deeply from the romantics and the gothicists; loving deeply, reflecting in nature, and finding the magic in maddening and frightening situations.

All of the work completed here are completely original works composed of a mixture of poetry, non-fiction, and creative-non fiction.
